The crest is on its way! Today the NWS predicted that the flood crest should reach us by this Sunday evening and it will crest at 39.5 feet here in Fargo. Although 39.5 feet seems like a relatively low crest (or at least people seem to be considering it a relief), please remember [...]  We are at flood stage! We have a long way to go, but we are here. Sandbagging on day 1 did not go as well as expected, but I am still confident that we will get there! We better, or there could be trouble when the Red River crests in the not so distant future. There are many people that were able to get out to sandbag central to [...] 2011 Red River flood efforts are starting to pick up. Anybody that lives in the area has been able to enjoy the wonderful weather the past few days. Along with this awesome weather comes some reminders that the 2011 Fargo area flood is very near. It was melting today. All of the icicles [...] According to Weather Underground, we are at 51 inches of snowfall this winter. This is more than we had at this time in 2009 or 2010.
